Meet the team

Lisa Garson
Executive Director
Our team is headed up by Lisa Garson, the founding Executive Director of Action Appointments with over 30 years of development recruitment experience. She is well connected within the sector and is readily available for consultations.

Tracy Lee Nyman
Director: Recruitment and Operations
Tracy holds a BA in Industrial Psychology and has been with the company since 2009. Tracy has an in-depth understanding of the staffing needs of this dynamic and challenging sector and provides professional, personalised service to our clients and candidates.

Melissa Asia
Recruitment and Marketing Manager
Melissa holds a BTech National Diploma in IT and Business. She has been a Recruitment Consultant with Action Appointments since 2011, ably managing staffing processes for many organisations from start to finish. She also manages Action Appointments marketing, social media and website, and oversees all the administration of the office.

Callum Fraser
Director: Partnerships and Systems
Callum has a track record of delivering excellent candidates for different clients across the globe. He has worked on positions from CEO of international organisations to fieldworker positions, and knows how to manage a successful recruitment process at either level.

Baxolele Mbenyana
Recruitment Officer
Qualified with an Honours degree in Development Studies, Baxolele provides administrative and recruitment support. He also manages database entry and updating of candidates' profiles. Outside of work, he enjoys road running.

Oona Fraser
Candidate Recruiter
With a background in the development sector and an Honours degree in Psychology, Oona brings valuable expertise to recruitment, marketing, and administration. She is eager to grow within the team and expand her knowledge in this vital field. Outside of work, she enjoys immersing herself in nature and playing music.

Zintle Nyathi
Administrative Assistant
Zintle brings expertise in administration and facilitation, having worked in education, youth development, and social services. Her strengths include stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, and administrative management. She is currently advancing her studies in Human Resource Management and is passionate about community development, meditation, and journaling.

Afikile Zozo
Administrative Assistant
Afikile is currently pursuing her MA in Sociology and plays a key role in supporting recruitment processes. She specializes in database management, candidate communication, and administrative coordination, ensuring smooth operations. Outside of work, she is passionate about research and building meaningful connections.
Action Appointments Director, Lisa Garson, offers career and individual coaching and progression workshops through NEXTSTEP Coaching and Training.
As a certified Coach in the International Zen Coaching Network and an Organisational Relations Systems Coaching (ORSC) practitioner, Lisa uses a variety of coaching techniques including deep listening, reflection and inquiry to create a safe space for her clients to pause, take a breath and notice what is really happening in them right now. From this more peaceful place they can discover their best next steps.
