Tips for candidates

Good candidates know how to put their best foot forward in their applications, whether in their letters of motivation or their first interview. Find below some documents we have prepared to assist our candidates in making sure your application best reflects your unique skills and experience.

1

Motivation letter writing

A good motivation letter is probably even more important than your CV. This is the first document that the prospective employer reads about you and it is on the basis of this letter that they will go on to look at your CV.

2

CV preparation

Your CV is your passport to your journey through your career – you can use it to give prospective employers a real sense of who you are and what you bring, so it is worth spending some time getting it right.

3

Interview performance

An interview is a valuable opportunity. By following our basic tips and preparing yourself as fully as possible, you can make sure to make the best of the opportunity.

“I am grateful for Action Appointments for their support in the process of my recruitment for my current role. I mainly dealt with Tracy and she is loving, patient and makes you feel like she wants you to get the job just as much as you do. From when I sent my CV through for the role, to getting the call that I was shortlisted, to the interview phases, Tracy would communicate with me, give me feedback on my application and follow-up diligently with the potential employer.”
